Valerie has worked with UK based and Global clients at both an individual and group basis. She is a trained facilitator and instructor. Valerie has experience in researching and developing solutions to improve gender balance, helping organisations develop insight in to cultural change and working with individual women to maximise their potential.
Valerie trained originally with Duncan MacQuarrie Associates, a member of the International Coach Federation. Her style is solution focussed working towards goals that meet the needs of the individual and the organisation. Valerie has expanded her coaching knowledge and skills in a number of directions using psychometric tools to gain insight and awareness for individuals and teams and voice coaching techniques to develop impact and confidence.
Valerie started her career as a trainee actuary but then decided to travel. After gaining some valuable life experiences she worked in procurement in civil engineering in the UK and abroad. She then moved into Professional Services where she held a number of roles ranging from Chief of Staff to HR Director. Valerie has experience in large scale transformation projects; design and development of Talent Strategy and large scale organisation development programmes.
Valerie is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and is accredited to use MBTI; the Hogan Development Survey; the Emotional Capital Inventory and 16 PF psychometric tools.
She is also a coaching supervisor assisting other coaches to reflect and develop their coaching capability and is a member of the European Coaching and Mentoring Council.
